Build the course you have always wanted to teach

The StrongMind CoursePro Fellowship is a selective 12-week program for K–12 and CTE educators. Design and build a complete, professionally produced online course alongside StrongMind’s learning scientists and creative studio.

No program fee. Your school receives a perpetual, site-wide license to the finished course at no cost.

You know the course your students need. Now you can build it.

StrongMind CoursePro is the platform. The Fellowship is the guided experience around it.

During the Fellowship, you’ll use StrongMind CoursePro to move from standards and learning objectives to instruction, practice, and supporting materials in one structured workflow. StrongMind Intelligence accelerates the work while you review, refine, and make the instructional decisions.

Throughout the Fellowship, StrongMind learning scientists guide the design process. Once your course is review-ready, our creative studio develops the graphics, video, interactives, and other instructional assets that bring it to life

Four focused weeks of design inside a twelve-week Fellowship.

The Fellowship is fully online, with roughly 36 hours of instructional time across 12 weeks, plus independent build time. The most intensive work happens during a focused four-week design sprint. From there, StrongMind’s creative studio moves into production with you.

How the twelve weeks work

Fully online. Live studio workshops run by videoconference, independent design work happens in StrongMind CoursePro, and faculty hold standing office hours throughout. Roughly 36 hours of instructional time across twelve weeks, plus your own build time.

Week 1: Orientation

Program expectations, confirmation of your course proposal, and the foundations of the StrongMind design approach: backward design, alignment, coherence, accessibility, and evidence-based practice.

Weeks 2-5: The Design Sprint

One live studio workshop each week, four to six hours of independent build time, and office hours with faculty. Week by week: standards selection and learning objectives, then assessment-first design, then instructional design, then practice activities, supporting materials, and accessibility review. By the end of week, five you have a complete, review-ready course.

Weeks 6-10: Studio Production

StrongMind’s creative studio and learning media team complete full asset production: graphics, video, and interactives. You review and approve.

Weeks 11-12: Capstone

You respond to expert review, make final revisions, and write a short design reflection. The cohort closes with a public Capstone Showcase where fellows present their finished courses.

Who should apply

The StrongMind CoursePro Fellowship is built for educators with deep subject expertise, including those in career and
technical education.

A clear partnership from the start.

You build the course with our platform, our faculty, and our production budget. Your school uses it free, in perpetuity. StrongMind retains ownership of the course and adds it to our catalog, with your name on it and a royalty to you when it is licensed.

There are no hidden terms. Before applications open, we will make the full participation agreement available so you can review the terms before deciding whether to apply.

What does the StrongMind CoursePro Fellowship cost?

There is no program fee. StrongMind covers the platform, guided instruction, and course production. Optional graduate-level university credit or CEUs are purchased separately from our university partner.

How much time does it take?

Expect roughly 36 hours of instructional time across 12 weeks, plus independent build time. The heaviest workload falls during the four-week design sprint, with one 90-minute workshop and roughly 4–6 hours of independent work each week.

Do I need to know StrongMind CoursePro already?

No. Learning the platform is part of the Fellowship. You bring subject expertise and teaching or industry experience in the discipline you propose.

Who Owns the Course I Build?

StrongMind owns the course and adds it to our catalog with your name on it. Your school or district holds a perpetual, site-wide license at no cost, and you earn a royalty when other schools license it. Before applications open, we will make the full participation agreement available so you can review the terms first.

What if my district considers my curriculum work to be work for hire?

Some districts do. The participation agreement will explain how that is handled, and we will make it available before applications open. Review your district’s policy on outside curriculum work before you apply.

How does university credit or CEUs work?

Fellows who successfully complete all program requirements have the option to purchase graduate-level university credit or continuing education units (CEUs) from our university partner. These are two different things. Graduate credit applies toward an advanced degree. CEUs document professional development hours and are what most districts look for on salary lane advancement. Neither is included in the Fellowship, both are purchased separately from the university at its published rate, and acceptance is determined by the receiving organization. You receive your StrongMind clock-hour certificate either way, since it documents your Fellowship hours regardless of what you purchase from the university.

Do I need CEUs if I already get a StrongMind clock-hour certificate?

Not necessarily, and it depends on your district. Your StrongMind clock-hour certificate documents your completed Fellowship hours and comes at no charge. CEUs are a separate, university-issued credential you purchase afterward. Some districts require university-issued CEUs specifically for salary lane advancement rather than a vendor certificate, and some accept either. Check with your district before deciding whether to add CEUs.

Will my district accept the credit toward salary advancement?

That depends on your district. Districts set their own rules for salary lane advancement and often require prior approval. Check with your district before you enroll for either CEUs or graduate credit.

Can my principal or director nominate someone?

Yes. Use the form on this page and let us know you are nominating someone. We will reach out to the person you name.

Your course. Your name. Your students.
